Publication Fees

At IJORTAS, Article Processing Charges (APCs) support manuscript management, peer review coordination, editorial services, typesetting, digital hosting, long-term archiving, and administrative operations. We are committed to equitable access and offer structured discounts and waivers for eligible authors.

Open access publishing provides immediate, worldwide free access to all published manuscripts. Readers can view, download, print, and redistribute any article without any financial barrier, enabling greater distribution of an article. IJORTAS prides itself on providing a wide framework for open-access dissemination.

Each article accepted for publication in the International Journal of Recent Technology and Applied Science (IJORTAS) will be charged a publication fee of USD 100.00 (exclusive of local VAT where applicable). Authors will only need to pay the APC if their article is accepted after the peer-review process, which typically takes 2–3 months from submission to notification. The APC is payable only upon acceptance, not before or upon rejection. The acceptance process will not be finalized until full payment is received.

In open-access publishing, the processing costs of an article are paid from an author's research budget or by their supporting institution. These charges replace traditional subscription fees. As per the open-access license CC-BY-NC-ND 4.0, authors own the copyright to their articles and permit third parties to use, distribute, or reproduce the content in advance and without limits.

The journal is open-access and can be accessed online for free without subscription fees. There are no submission charges for manuscripts submitted to the journal. For more detailed information, please visit COPE and ICMJE.

IJORTAS offers waivers on the APC. If authors are from classified countries or based in a lower-middle-income economy with a gross domestic product threshold aligned with World Bank rankings, they qualify for a 10% discount on the APC. These authors can avail of waivers through the journal's portal.

Additionally, there will be reduced article processing charges of USD 75.00 for authors originating from the countries mentioned below:

The APC (Article Processing Charge) is subject to change, as the executive members regularly review it. Therefore, the amount to be paid can be altered based on:

  • Metrics of the journal.
  • Competitive analysis and requirements.
  • Associated revenue of the journal.
Note: According to local financial and tax policies, the APC may include local taxes, which will be clearly displayed on the invoice/challan. The APC is a one-time fee per article.
Important Notice: Article Processing Charges are requested only after a manuscript has been officially accepted for publication. IJORTAS will not issue refunds or cancellations of any kind after the final acceptance of the manuscript.

Refunds will not be processed under the following circumstances:

  • If the article has a copyright form signed by the author (digital or scanned).
  • If the article is terminated/retracted according to the removal and publication ethics policy of the journal.
  • If the article is withdrawn by the author after the finalization or typesetting stage.

An official payment confirmation will be automatically generated and sent via email to the corresponding author after the Article Processing Charges have been successfully verified. Authors can expect to receive this verification within 2–3 working days after the payment transaction has been fully processed by our financial account unit.

The Article Processing Charge (APC) is a critical component required to sustain a robust open-access journal infrastructure. It covers the operational costs incurred throughout the manuscript lifecycle, including:

  • Publication of the complete peer-reviewed research paper online.
  • Assignment of an individual, permanent Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to every article.
  • Global metadata indexing coordination and management.
  • Editorial and international Reviewer processing management.
  • Strict plagiarism checking services (via professional software like Turnitin).
  • Copyediting, typesetting, and grammar checking workflows.
  • Continuous web server hosting, security maintenance, and long-term digital archiving.
  • Integration of link resolvers, cross-referencing setups, and modern academic journal infrastructures (such as Crossref membership).
